About the Coach
My name is Ivan Viveros. I’ve been in love with soccer since the day I was able to walk. I’ve gone through almost every stage of the game and learned everything I know with a ball not far away from my feet.
I was born and raised in Canonsburg, Pa., a small town about 20 minutes south of Pittsburgh. I went to Canon McMillan High School, graduated in June 2014 and went on to play collegiate soccer at Gannon University. I spent two amazing years there and decided to make the transfer and attend The University of Pittsburgh for my remaining two years.
I’ve played just about every level you can play in soccer and on every different type of team. I started as all kids start, in the local in house system, then moved on to travel soccer. At age 11, I joined my first club team, North United. Then, the following year I joined, what was called back then, Century United where I remained for the next 7 years. During that time, I trained and worked hard, joined O.D.P. and continued my rise through the local system. I then went on to play varsity soccer at Canon McMillan High School and had a successful high school career. My hard work paid off as I accepted a scholarship offer to play at the D2 level at Gannon University. After two great years of collegiate soccer I decided to ‘hang up’ my boots as well as competitive career and begin a different chapter. Coaching.
This chapter of my soccer career is just beginning and is full of optimism. I currently coach at the club that taught me everything, Century as well as the AVSA High School soccer camp directed by Mike Blatz. I have always been an advocate for individual skill and technique and thus came about Fastbreak Soccer. A program specifically designed for player’s to improve their ability and dominate the game.
